F.A.Q for MapKing 2007 for PDA/PPC

 

Q. Can I transfer my MapKing License to another PDA/PPC?
A. Yes, You may. But please provide relevant documents such as
'Sale Reciept' for trade in or 'Loss of Property Report' for lost Devices with
your Product Authorization code and Latest MKID for verification
via Email or at EastGear Retail outlet
Please note, we are unable to assit you without any Documentation Proof over the phone

Q. My PDA/PPC was sent in for repairs and the Mainboard was changed, the MKID is now different.
I need a New Registration Code
A. Please provide your 'Service Report Form' with your Product Authorization and Latest MKID
via Email or EastGear Retail outlet.

Q. My Code has been used too many times? I need my Registration code
A. You may email support@mapking.com.sg with your
Name, Email, Product Authorization Code and MKID to retrieve your Registration code
However, if your MKID supplied differs from the Database,
A sale receipt or Service Report Form is required to assist you further

Q. I have a free/Bundled G10 or R12 license from HP6965/6515 or HTC PDA/PPC
May I upgrade to MapKing 2007? How much is it?
A. Yes, You may. Each Map costs $69 and is only available at EastGear Retail outlet.
You are required to bring along your Product Authorization Codes down for verification purposes

Q. I have MapKing 2007/G10/R12 and would like to purchase other maps.
How and where do I purchase it from? Is it available at EastGear?
A. Only MapKing 2007 Singapore and Malaysia maps are available at EastGear.
You need to visit http://www.mapking.com/shopping/en/ for other country maps.

Q. How do I do Map Updates that are available at http://www.mapking.com.sg ?
A. After downloading the Map that is for your MapKing version, extract the files,
(they are Zipped you may need Winzip to extract)
Then copy the Map File (MapKing2007 files are *.m7a and MapKingG10 files are *.G10 and MapKingR12 are *.G12 extension) into your SD card.
Start your MapKing Program on your PDA/PPC and then do a Switch map.

Q. What is 'RT Storage Out' Error mean? How can I resolve this?
A. RT Storage Out means Routing incapable, we suggest to update maps or
use SLA MapKing Singapore Maps.
If it still does not work, Choose a different area of the road before or after an intersection to set as Destination. Or Move away from your current Position

Q. I have 'Open map file failed! (CODE-0001:Cannot open map file) What should I do?
A. Tap 'ok' to clear the message, and switch map again. This error occurs when doing a Map update or running MapKing immediately after switching on your PDA/PPC
